This work relies upon the signs that one can see on the structure of a bandstand situated in Springfield park, London. Whilst some of them reinforce the natural lines of the wood and reflect the pass of time others have been carved on purpose to act as an open form of expression.
Waiting for Dawn displace those signs, within the tradition of musical graphic scores fueled by composer Cornelius Cardew in London during the sixties.
Thus, the inflicted structure of a bandstand is proposed as a score for musicians to challenge their musical habits.
Performers: Dan Scott, Richard Thomas, Adam Bohman, Chandra Chapman, Jonathan Bohman and Artur Vidal.
